Open End Studio | Mud Bubble

Mud Bubble is an earthy 3BHK residence that embraces raw textures, soft curves, and natural tones to create a warm and grounded living experience. Rooted in the idea that beauty lies in imperfection, the home moves away from polished finishes and strict geometry, choosing instead a palette and material language inspired by nature. A beige lime coat finish across the apartment gives the interiors a smooth, mud-like surface that sets a calm and cohesive tone.

The drawing room forms the heart of the home, designed as a space of quiet strength and balance. A free flowing centre table inspired by the movement of liquid mud introduces an organic rhythm, while a feature stone wall composed of four natural stone shades brings depth and texture. The soft beige seating blends seamlessly into the backdrop, and the TV unit stands out through handcrafted rope detailing that adds both character and functionality.

Continuing the earthy narrative, the kitchen is designed without overhead cabinets, allowing the wall to become the defining element. Hand cut tiles create subtle movement across the surface, paired with dull terracotta matte drawers that sit harmoniously within the same colour family. The space reflects how thoughtful detailing can elevate everyday functionality into a refined yet soulful environment.

Art within Mud Bubble celebrates authenticity over perfection. A hand woven wall art piece crafted from two types of rope echoes the project’s deeper philosophy. Layered and knotted by hand, the artwork embraces irregularity and texture, becoming a quiet expression of craft, patience, and material honesty.

The dining area brings together comfort and craftsmanship through warm leather seating and solid wooden frames. Soft curves and tactile materials create a welcoming atmosphere, while a simple stone dining table maintains visual balance. The space feels timeless and inviting, encouraging connection and everyday rituals.

Each bedroom carries its own identity while remaining connected to the home’s overall design language. From the playful and imaginative kids’ room to the vibrant terracotta-toned bedroom and the calmer, more grounded master space, every room reflects a thoughtful balance of personality and restraint. Together, they complete Mud Bubble as a home shaped by earth, guided by craft, and designed as a living experience rather than just an interior.
